Starting to present and share his information on sustainability and change freely, Gerhard Gibbs, comes with 40 years of agricultural background, 18 of which designing small scale sustainable solutions in his spare time using his skills as engineer and upcycling techniques, then practically implementing and testing the engineered solutions – with many mistakes made.

Initial studies in marketing after completing his 2-years national service was followed by a 7-year career as Fire-Fighter and Recue Medic in the townships around Cape Town during the most turbulent times in South African history. His need for adventure and adrenaline put on the back burner for while, a corporate career spanning 25 years followed in the ICT environment, choosing to be at the forefront of the latest technologies of the time that changed the world – mobile and virtualization.

His last position held was as the Territory Manager looking after, and developing, WECA for the fastest growing Data and Personal Information protection company in the world. He worked with cutting edge marketing technologies being implemented today, not only on ICT, but more important the impact of content marketing/strategy on driving the brand and business. This led led to recent further studies where he is now taking his many years of experience into this new realm – Content Strategy/Marketing and Creation – and Content4Afrika was born.

Traveling the world, AfrikanerSlim went out of his way to find interesting ways people use their means to better their life. With a focus on Afrika, where he has traveled extensively to 21 different countries, most 10 times plus – one of his favorite phrases being proven to him so often on the African continent: Necessity breeds innovation.

Larger than life in just about every way possible, Fritz comes with 20 plus years of experience in the IT industry where he started his career as a Systems Integration Engineer, and started using various languages and technologies to solve complex business problems.

From there Fritz specialized in Back-end Web Development, using open-source and proprietary CMS systems like WordPress, Joomla, SharePoint, Unysen, Drupal and more, as well as custom-built implementations. Fritz managed the hosting environment that most of the sites were on, building experience not only how to build front ends, but also how to manage the underlying infrastructure to keep the sites up and running.

Fritz has experience working with a wide variety of clients, from very small enterprises to large multi-national financial corporations, and he takes pride in making sure all the client’s needs are understood and met. One of the highlights of his career was being the lead developer of www.oldmutual.com for many years, taking it through several rebrands and revamps, including architecting, development and deployment of the organization’s first authenticated Extranet site.

One of his current projects is in the non-profit sector for Reach Digital Health (www.reachdigitalhealth.org), assisting with building large-scale digital health programs empowering Governments and NGOs.

With more than 15 years experience in Graphic Art and Design, coupled with a Bachelors Degree in Graphic Art, she also has one of the best arty eyes in the business, and so Maryke brings some class to our endeavor.

The owner of her own very successful Graphic Design company – Offline Graphics Studio – design is not only her occupation, but her passion. With an eye for detail, a gift of building solid relationships and being stringently dependable, not missing a deadline in this fast paced business, is part of who she is.

Creating a hub of freelancers, evoDev went from strength to strength utilizing the specialized skill of each individual to create cost effective solutions. Using the freelance model Ewan can pull on the best/newest technology available thus keeping up with the times in this fast paced/ever changing and growing environment.

Ewan saw, before many of his competitors, that having just a website in the new age of eCommerce would not suffice, and as that falls 100% in line with the vision of Content4Afrika we are very happy to be able to partner with him.
